CHS For a Day – Why should teenagers have all the fun?

ATTENTION 10TH GRADE PARENTS/GUARDIANS As you know, the district is re-registering all 10th grade students.  You should have received the re-registration packet that was mailed in November and again in December 2011.  Phone calls were also made.  If you have not completed your child’s re-registration packet, please do so as soon as possible. Any family of 10th graders who do not register will be referred to the Board of Education for residency hearings which can result in removal from the district.  For more information regarding how to re-register, please contact the District Registrar.

PUBLIC FORUM:  PROPOSED CHANGES TO COLUMBIA HIGH SCHOOL ACADEMIC PLACEMENT  AND MIDDLE SCHOOL TRANSFORMATION, WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 8, 2012 FROM 7 TO 8:30 PM AT CHS AUDITORIUM. 

The DROP/ADD period for Semester II will officially begin on Wednesday, January 25th and run through the end of the day on Monday, January 30th.  Schedule change request forms will be available on a table outside of the Guidance Office to all students beginning Tuesday afternoon.  All forms must be completed and signed by a parent/guardian in order to be processed.  Forms without a parent/guardian signature will not be processed and will be returned to the student.  Independent Study sign-up forms will be available from Ms. Singer in the Guidance Office on Monday, January 30thand must be returned to the student’s counselor (with all required information and signatures) by the end of the day on Thursday, February 2nd.   The only schedule changes that will be honored for semester II are those that involve a data processing error (such as a missing class period or a duplicate class period).  No changes in year-long classes will be processed, nor will requests to change PE/Health assignments.
